Position Description:
Performs duties to maintain building and grounds; perform general housekeeping repairs and installations; and conduct scheduled safety audits of safety related equipment through the entire facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure the building facilities are in good working order and meet expectations
- Perform general installations or repairs including but not limited to plumbing, lighting - inside and out, painting, and general carpentry
- Repair cook racks and dollies daily to ensure availability for production
- Perform and document weekly inspections of eye wash stations and makes needed repairs
- Perform and document monthly fire extinguisher and emergency lighting inspections making any needed repairs
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Keep walkways clear of snow and ice, maintain emergency exits making sure they are accessible
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to speak, read, and write English, bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Proficient in plumbing, electrical, painting, assembly and repairs
- Valid state driver's license
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- 3 - 5 years related building maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Able to operate variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis
- Able to climb, crouch, kneel and crawl on an occasional basis to service variety of equipment
