The US base salary range for this full-time position is $40-70/hr + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Responsibilities:Experienced Facility and Maintenance Technician
Position Description
The Technician will be responsible for installation, upkeep, organization, and basic maintenance in support of a wide range of semiconductor facilities and related equipment, that includes work inside a cleanroom environment. This position will include supporting troubleshooting activities on electrical, mechanical, gas (asphyxiants, toxic, corrosive, and flammable), pneumatic, HVAC, chemical and cooling systems. The Technician will support the maintenance and fabrication team by meeting safety and quality objectives and maintaining a clean workspace. The Technician will support day-to-day activities that include walk-through punch lists, inspections, data collection, chemical handling, interfacing with internal organizations (safety, facilities, upper management) as well as organizing and maintaining mechanical and lab support areas.
The Technician shall provide dedicated support to operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and installation work on Branch owned assetsin support of Branch Labs and Clean Rooms during the following Core hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Workplace for this task is Building 11 and Building 30 labs, mechanical spaces, and cleanrooms.
Duties and responsibilities shall include the following.
· Support the daily tasks that keep the labs and building infrastructure running.
· Support the facility team performing preventative maintenance tasks.
· Support the facility team performing installations of lab tool/infrastructure to manufacturer requirements.
· Perform mechanical or software troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment.
· Manage facility/equipment outages, coordinate with affected users and on-site facility group.
· Support activities and provide guidance to on-site facility group for work on infrastructure, communicating impacts to users.
· Maintain safety training.
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
· Provide technical support for lab tools and infrastructure.
· Track and communicate activities and issues throughout the day.
· Be able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, line diagrams and manufacturer manuals.
· Become familiar and perform repair of the HVAC systems, DI water system, plumbing, electronic and pneumatic controls, laboratory processing tools and vacuum systems.
· Comfortable working in mechanical spaces, and around the following: chemicals, pressurized gases, pressure vessels, high voltage power supplies.
· Comfortable wearing and maintaining proper PPE.
· Tracking and communicating critical inventory.
· Maintaining chemical waste stream.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Provide a technical resource for tool and maintenance system improvement projects.
· Track and report maintenance activities through verbal and written reports.
· Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
· Hands-on and creative individual with willingness to work independently in a cleanroom environment and in tight spaces while fully gowned in cleanroom attire.
· Manage maintenance contracts.
· Support, actively participate in and lead procurements.
Performance Standards/Quality AssuranceAll work shall be performed in a workmanlike manner in accordance with this statement of work, Branch and Cleanroom protocols, OSHA regulations, EPA Guidelines, NASA and GSFC Safety requirements.
Qualifications:Experience:
· Work experience in at least one of the following industries or roles:
o Maintenance of HVAC or equipment (minimum 5 years)
o Semiconductor lab or material processing facility (minimum 3 years)
o Maintenance of semiconductor-like or testing facility (minimum 3 years)
o A high-volume manufacturing facility (minimum 4 years)
o A site or facility with greater than 20 items (facility equipment or complex tools) requiring monitoring, repair or maintenance (minimum 4 years)
· Must have experience with MS Office programs.
· High School Degree, Associates Degree preferred.
