JOB SUMMARY: The Facility Attendant is primarily responsible for opening and closing the facility for after-hours and weekend groups. While groups are in the facility, the facility attendant ensures that all policies and procedures are followed per the facility rental agreement and responds appropriately to facility renter requests. The Facility Attendant is responsible for setting up, taking down, and cleaning for rentals. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous, and helpful service.
Arrive 30 minutes before assigned meeting time unless otherwise instructed.
Must not leave building unattended during shift.
A facility attendant report must be signed and completed after the event by the renter.
Must be visible and provide excellent customer service to participants in the facility.
Must communicate any concerns, building needs, or unexpected items to supervisor.
Performs cleaning duties as assigned.
Leave the facility ready for the next day's events at the end of shift.
Adheres to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
Evening and weekend work required.
Other related job duties as assigned.
COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to make decisions, solve problems, diffuse angry situations, and handle emergencies.
Familiarity with Irons Oaks programs and rental policies and procedures.
Able to communicate with facility renters.
Must be punctual and reliable.
Understand the type of cleaning treatments needed for various areas.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have good customer service skills.
Must have good communication skills.
Good with problem solving, organization and people skills.
Be able to work independently.
Must have basic cleaning and custodial knowledge.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
18 years of age or older, 21 years of age preferred
CPR/AED certified. You will be trained if not already certified.
