The Facility Coordinator is a hands-on, physically active position responsible for the setup, breakdown, transition, and reset of event and rental spaces at Mark Arts. Working closely with the Event Manager, this position moves and arranges tables, chairs, furniture, equipment, and other event materials according to established floor plans and event specifications.
This role requires someone who is physically capable, dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently within firm event timelines. Facility Coordinators must be comfortable performing physical work throughout their shifts, accurately reading and following floor plans, and completing setups and resets correctly and on time.
This is a part-time, hourly position with variable hours based on the event and rental schedule. Evening and weekend availability is required. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.
Complete event setups accurately and efficiently according to floor plans, setup diagrams, event specifications, and Event Manager instructions.
Move, arrange, and position tables, chairs, benches, furniture, equipment, and other event materials.
Complete event breakdowns, room transitions, and resets within established timelines.
Ensure event and gallery spaces are returned to their designated layouts following rentals and events.
Prepare spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, safe, and guest-ready before events begin.
Safely lift, move, handle, and store event furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Complete light cleaning of tables, chairs, surfaces, and event areas before and after events as needed.
Maintain organized event equipment, furniture, supplies, and storage areas.
Monitor facility conditions and promptly report maintenance, equipment, safety, or repair needs.
Follow established setup, teardown, facility, and safety procedures.
Coordinate effectively with other Facility Coordinators, contractors, and event staff to complete assigned work on schedule.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding, hands-on work throughout the shift.
Ability to read, understand, and accurately execute floor plans, setup diagrams, and written instructions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to complete setups, breakdowns, and resets within established deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize when a space does not match the required setup.
Dependable, punctual, and able to report for scheduled shifts on time.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely handle furniture and equipment while working in an active event environment.
Ability to adapt quickly when event layouts, priorities, or timelines change.
Ability to recognize and communicate facility, equipment, and safety concerns.
Previous experience in event setup, facilities, moving, hospitality, warehouse operations, maintenance, or another physically active environment is preferred but not required.
Must be able to learn and consistently follow Mark Arts facility setup, teardown, and safety procedures.
This position requires frequent physical activity and movement throughout scheduled shifts. The employee must be able to:
Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and move between standing and floor-level positions.
Frequently push, pull, carry, reposition, and maneuver tables, chairs, furniture, equipment, and event materials.
Frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive physical tasks associated with setting up and breaking down event spaces.
Remain physically active for extended periods and complete physically demanding assignments within established event timelines.
Safely navigate event spaces, galleries, storage areas, hallways, and other areas while transporting furniture and equipment.
Work evenings and weekends as scheduled in a moderately noisy, active, and fast-paced event environment.
