Full-Time Office Housekeeper Location: Valdosta, GA 31601 Position Summary Second Harvest of South Georgia, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Office Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and professional environment for employees, volunteers, visitors, and community partners. This position plays an important role in supporting the daily appearance, readiness, and overall care of our administrative offices, common areas, restrooms, conference spaces, and event areas. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, understand the importance of facility cleanliness, and be comfortable managing routine cleaning tasks as well as occasional event setup and breakdown needs. This role requires consistency, physical stamina, good judgment, and a commitment to the culture and standards of Second Harvest of South Georgia. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Perform routine cleaning of administrative offices, common areas, conference rooms, banquet areas, restrooms, entryways, stairwells, and other assigned spaces.
- Remove disposable waste and ensure trash is collected and disposed of properly.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors, fixtures, surfaces, and high-traffic areas.
- Complete daily restroom cleaning, including floors, fixtures, hard surfaces, and restocking of disposable products.
- Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, mirrors, door facings, frames, openings, stairwell rails, and entry areas.
- Prepare rooms and common spaces for orderly operation each working day.
- Set up conference rooms, banquet areas, and other common spaces for special events as directed.
- Break down, clean, and reset spaces following special events.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Report damage, maintenance concerns, safety issues, or unusual conditions observed during scheduled work hours.
- Assist in securing facilities as directed.
- Water plants or complete other light facility-support tasks as assigned.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, orderly, and professional spaces.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety practices, and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to use cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment appropriately.
- Comfortable supporting event setup, breakdown, and post-event cleaning needs.
- Ability to communicate maintenance concerns, supply needs, or safety issues promptly.
- Ability to work respectfully and professionally around employees, volunteers, visitors, and community partners.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and complete routine cleaning duties throughout the workday.

Education and Experience - Prior custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience preferred.
- Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning environments is helpful.
- Experience supporting room setup, event preparation, and post-event breakdown preferred.
- Valid and insurable driver's license issued by the state in which the applicant currently resides.
- Ability to complete the Second Harvest of South Georgia assessment process, which may include employment reference verification through previous supervisors, clearance to work with and around minors in the state of Georgia, drug screening requirements through Georgia’s Drugs Don’t Work program, and a background check upon acceptance of a conditional job offer due to the access and nature of the position.
