Facility Driver - Adult Center

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and safety-mindedFacility Driverto join our team at our Adult Day Center in East Brunswick, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation for our members, ensuring they arrive at our center and back home safely.

Because we serve a diverse population of individuals who may have unique medical or mobility needs, we require someone with a background in a healthcare environment who understands how to support our members with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation:Transport adult day center members to and from the facility following designated routes and schedules.

• Mobility Support:Assist members with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring all safety restraints, wheelchairs, and mobility devices are properly secured.

• Vehicle Maintenance:Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle, performing daily pre-trip inspections and reporting any maintenance needs immediately.

• Member Care:Provide exceptional, empathetic customer service, creating a welcoming and reassuring environment for our members.

• Coordination:Communicate effectively with center staff, families, and caregivers regarding scheduling or transit updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Driver's License:Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with aPassenger (P) Endorsementand an entirely clean New Jersey driving record (no recent violations, points, or major infractions).

• Experience:Previous experience working within a medical center, senior living facility, or home health environment isrequired.

• Skills:Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine passion for working with older adults or individuals with medical needs.
