Global electrical products manufacturer is seeking a Facility Engineer near Austin, TX area. Ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years’ production facility maintenance strong background with data analysis (equipment efficiency, uptime/downtime monitoring, etc.), as well as the ability to work hands-on with plant machinery. This position is full-time / direct-hire opening with comprehensive benefit package.

Facility Engineer responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Lead and work with the facilities and maintenance department and outside vendors to assure that equipment, tools, and instruments are in proper working order and repaired or inspected in a timely manner.
- \n
- Coordinate, plan and execute plant operation & maintenance activities to optimize customer production and load requirements, in consultation with project managers and team members.
- \n
- Gather data to determine overall equipment efficiency, including running OEE, uptime vs. downtime studies, etc.
- \n
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs hands-on as needed, with a focus on determining the root cause of equipment issues and determining strategies for prevention moving forward
- \n
- Support capital improvement projects as required, including suggesting new equipment or modifications and assisting with process and layout requirements.
- \n
- Create, update and organize documents as needed for plant administration, operations, and maintenance.
- \n
- Propose ideas for improving manufacturing processes and maintenance operations, supported by process data
- \n
- Work with plant health and safety teams to address any issues in a prompt, timely manner
- \n

Facility Engineer requirements:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- \n
- Minimum 3-5 years of facility maintenance work experience in manufacturing plant
- \n
- Prior experience with maintenance planning, facilities management, and/or equivalent operational experience
- \n
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- \n
- Ability to work hands on with equipment as needed
- \n
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel
- \n
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands. This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility. When in the plant, the worker is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hard hats, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas.
