Overview

ABM is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Technician to support operations at the Honda manufacturing facility in Lincoln, Alabama. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars)

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation (nightshift 6am – 6pm)

Responsibilities

•    Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems including mechanical, HVAC, and basic electrical components 
•    Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime 
•    Maintain and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and other industrial equipment 
•    Support building systems including plumbing, lighting, and general infrastructure 
•    Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in CMMS systems 
•    Follow all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies 
•    Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure production uptime 
•    Participate in continuous improvement initiatives 
 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • 2+ years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience preferred 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting equipment 
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems (480V experience a plus) 
  • Experience with HVAC systems is preferred 
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals 
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (heights, confined spaces, etc.) 
 

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (every other weekend off) 
  • Overtime opportunities may be available 
  • Work performed in an active automotive manufacturing facility
