Position Summary:
Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on commercial buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems at all GL Commercial properties on behalf of the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
- Responsible to issue Service Work tickets to complete tasks that require Subcontractor involvement.
- Responsible to communicate and oversee the performance of Subcontractors at Commercial Properties.
- Responsible for various daily tasks, including but not limited to:
- Walk the properties and notate property maintenance items.
- Cleaning of area rugs and carpets, as needed.
- Touch-up painting, as needed
- Empty trash cans
- Pressure clean sidewalks and paver areas.
- Minor tree limb removal
- Spray and pull weeds throughout the plazas.
- Responsible to monitor and maintain the exterior, free of trash and debris.
- Prepares written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
- Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Assist in all Fire, Sprinkler & Water Backflow Inspections.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
- Perform Quarterly Roof Inspections.

Required Experience:
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum three (3) year experience in building maintenance. Preferably in the commercial industry.
- Basic knowledge of the construction industry, with some hands on experience in painting and carpentry.

- Reliable transportation.
- Must have a reliable cell phone.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Ability and knowledge to operate hand and small power tools.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Must have reliable transportation as position requires extensive travel.
- Must be able to work flexible work schedules including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and hours. Position requires employee to work long hours, including nights and weekends.
- Must be self-motivated and take the initiative to make decisions to accomplish goals.
- Must be able to establish rapport and develop good working relationship with all sales personnel and subcontractors.
