Facility Maintenance Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician in Andover, MA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports the maintenance and upkeep of plant and office facilities while assisting additional buildings as needed. The role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting basic facility systems, completing work orders, and helping maintain safe, efficient facility operations.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience
• 2+ years of general maintenance experience
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Basic critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Steel toe shoes required

Preferred Skills

• Trade certification
• 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience
• Existing security clearance

What You’ll Do

• Perform general upkeep and basic repairs for plant and office facilities
• Troubleshoot routine electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing issues
• Complete assigned work orders and follow maintenance instructions
• Conduct facility inspections and document completed work
• Support maintenance needs across multiple buildings as required
• Provide limited janitorial support, including trash removal and floor cleaning, when needed
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Support daily facility operations by completing routine maintenance tasks

Work Schedule / Shift

• Full-time onsite
• Monday through Thursday
• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1st Shift)
