Facility Maintenance Technician

JAM Commercial Cleaning Services LLC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our commercial facilities in Columbus, OH.

Position Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, addressing repairs, and ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and fully functional. This role is hands-on and requires attention to detail, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality service.

Working onsite in Lockbourne, OH, you will help maintain building systems and support day-to-day operational readiness, responding promptly to maintenance needs while following established safety and work standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on facilities, equipment, and building systems to reduce downtime.

• Diagnose issues and complete repairs for common mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related problems.

• Respond to maintenance requests, prioritize work based on urgency, and ensure timely resolution.

• Support cleanliness and safety requirements by maintaining fixtures, doors, locks, lighting, and general facility conditions.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service history in accordance with internal procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance tasks in an onsite environment.

• Demonstrated troubleshooting and basic repair skills across routine facility maintenance needs.

• Familiarity with safety practices and the ability to follow established procedures while working around tools and equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work to a high standard.

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work full-time onsite in Lockbourne, OH.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in facility maintenance, commercial building upkeep, or a similar hands-on technical role.

• Knowledge of building systems and components, including basic electrical and plumbing principles.

• Experience completing work orders and maintaining maintenance records.

• Ability to work independently and coordinate with supervisors or operations teams to meet facility needs.

• A customer-focused mindset, especially when repairs impact daily operations.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $23.00 - $28.00
