Pay Rate: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facility Maintenance Technician to support general facility maintenance and workplace organization in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
This position is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of general maintenance experience who is a self-starter, takes pride in keeping a facility clean, safe, and organized, and is eager to learn new skills. The successful candidate will assist with facility repairs, maintenance projects, warehouse organization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a long-term, ongoing contract opportunity with the potential for additional responsibilities and new opportunities as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general facility maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of warehouse infrastructure.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs.
- Safely operate basic hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
- Organize tools, equipment, and materials to maintain an efficient and accessible workspace.
- Assist with the setup, repair, and maintenance of offices, workstations, shelving, and storage systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and warehouse personnel to maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Complete and maintain documentation related to maintenance activities, inspections, and 5S audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace organization, safety, and efficiency.
- Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with additional maintenance projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of general maintenance or facility maintenance experience preferred.
- Technical training or maintenance certifications are a plus.
- Experience using basic hand tools and power tools safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Understanding of 5S methodology, workplace organization, and lean principles is a plus.
- Ability to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to learn new skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced warehouse environment.
