What We're Looking For:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, required
Experience
- Two years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, required
- Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred
Licenses
- Valid driver’s license, required
Skills
Required
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
- Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards
- Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance
- Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
Preferred
- Broad knowledge of principles in design, operation, and repair of all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment
- Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission standards for the Environment of Care
- Broad knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints and electrical schematics
What You'll Do:
- Perform maintenance and repair work on physical structures, utilities, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Support daily plant operations and facility maintenance activities
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Help maintain a safe and operational healthcare environment
- Respond to maintenance requests and assigned work orders
- Work closely with Plant Engineering Services leadership and team members
- Follow safety standards, building codes, and operational procedures
