The company seeks a responsible person who handles their duties singularly but can work well as a good teammate. The site operates three shifts, and you will be placed on their opening on the first shift. You do not rotate in this role. You can stay on that specific shift until you've noted it.
Do you think you're a good fit for this role? Understanding essential mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic processes would be best. You should be familiar with working with general shop tools. It would be best to have a basic comfort level when reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting using a multimeter. Experience in carpentry (basic level) would be great. Also, if you have any experience working on or repairing material handling equipment like forklifts, please bring that up in the interview.
You should be someone who can be handed a technical maintenance task and feel confident that if you DON'T know how to get it done, you'll find a way. That's the company culture they are looking for.
