Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and facility support duties across agency properties and program locations. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to safety, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while responding to maintenance needs in a timely manner.
This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule with the Maintenance Team.
What You'll Do
General Building Maintenance
Perform repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting in areas including:
Plumbing
- Faucets, sinks, toilets, pipes, and disposals
- Hot water heaters and appliances
- Washing machines and dishwashers
Electrical
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans
- Switches, outlets, breakers, and thermostats
- Basic 220V appliance connections
Painting & Drywall
- Interior and exterior painting
- Minor drywall patching and repairs
Appliance Repair
- Refrigerators
- Stoves and ovens
- Washers and dryers
- Dishwashers
Exterior & Seasonal Maintenance
- Roof and gutter repairs
- Window screens and doors
- Evaporative coolers
- Snow removal, salting, and ice mitigation
Work Orders & Documentation
- Prioritize and complete maintenance requests efficiently
- Maintain accurate digital work orders, logs, and reports
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding urgent repairs and scheduling
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- General maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or carpentry strongly valued
- Ability to safely operate tools and equipment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Required Qualifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier
- Successful background check
- Ability to participate in rotating on-call coverage

Physical & Work Environment
This is an active, hands-on position requiring moderate to heavy physical work in indoor and outdoor environments year-round. Responsibilities may include:
- Lifting up to 60 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance
- Working on ladders, roofs, lifts, or scaffolding
- Standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching frequently
- Exposure to heat, cold, snow, rain, mud, chemicals, and maintenance-related hazards
Safety training and proper equipment will be provided.
