Facility Manager
Avon Lake, OH
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facility Manager to lead facility operations, maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while driving process improvements, supporting capital projects, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing maintenance teams, facility infrastructure, and engineering resources in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and building maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and safety/environmental regulations
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
  • Manage facility upgrades, capital projects, equipment installations, and space planning initiatives
  • Supervise maintenance personnel, vendors, and contractors to support safe and efficient operations
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment and maintenance issues
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Kaizen
  • Partner with production teams to improve throughput, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards
  • Support budgeting, capital planning, and cost-saving initiatives
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of facility or maintenance management experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading maintenance, engineering, or continuous improvement teams
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety and regulatory compliance standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems
  • Experience with CMMS/maintenance tracking software and Microsoft Office
  • Budgeting and cost management experience preferred
 
Shift 1st (Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with OT as needed)
Salary $85,000 to $110,000 based on experience
