Description:
Markon is seeking a qualified Facility Manager to support one of our Intelligence Community customers. This individual will assist the government with project management, scope of work development, and design reviews for the Facilities Project Management and Maintenance enterprises. The Facility Manager must be proficient in site and building operations, physical security construction, developing project management plans, leading teams from a variety of organizations, developing project schedules, and monitoring/reporting project status. The Facility Manager shall be responsible for assigned projects from project inception through physical and financial closeout. The Facility Manager shall be highly skilled in customer service, competent in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications, knowledgeable in standard construction industry practices, and experienced with HVAC processes or overseeing HVAC-related projects. The Facility Manager shall review contractor proposals and provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily walkthroughs of the facility to locate and report deficiencies
- Keep the customer informed of progress or delays in resolving facility-related issues
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Oversee short-term and long-term construction projects within the customer site to ensure completion in accordance with construction drawings and approved permits
- Oversee HVAC-related work or projects and coordinate with appropriate technical teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Work closely with the construction team to answer questions, review construction drawings, and provide guidance regarding changes in schedule, work hours, workarounds, and related impacts
- Oversee long-term construction projects within the client site to ensure the safety of construction crews and customer staff working onsite during construction
- Participate in weekly meetings with building owner staff to provide updates on facility status, project progress, issues, concerns, and recommended solutions
- Review contractor proposals and provide recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative
- Review and research customer proposals for space, equipment, and other facility needs
- Develop and/or review planning documents
- Conduct building code compliance evaluations
- Perform peer review of plans, specifications, and technical reports prepared by others
- Draft design concepts and detailed designs
- Coordinate with architectural, civil/structural, electrical, and mechanical/HVAC disciplines
- Provide support during project design, bid, and construction phases
- Develop project schedules
- Develop scopes of work
- Provide contract administration support
- Perform technical studies
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Lead the production of design and technical information
- Work to and maintain agreed technical and design standards
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience managing facilities
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
- Highly skilled in customer service and diverse stakeholder engagement
- Competent in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledgeable in standard construction industry practices
- Knowledge of HVAC processes or experience overseeing HVAC projects
- Working knowledge of space planning roles and responsibilities within government facilities
- CFM, BOMI, IFMA, or related certification preferred
Salary Range:
USD $110,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
