PAY RATE: $55.00-85.00/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Evaluates reinforced concrete structures and assesses construction materials, layouts, and specialized training doors.

• Interprets engineering drawings and assists engineers with structural assessments.

• Supports construction of heavily reinforced concrete walls and confined-space facilities.

• Maintains tunnel safety certification and operates safely in underground confined spaces.

• Fabricates, welds, installs, repairs, and maintains metal and prefabricated blast doors, locking mechanisms, and related systems.

• Operates and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of training and blast doors.

• Oversees construction, installation, and removal of structural panels and blast components.

• Documents construction processes, timelines, and material requirements.

• Reconstructs heavily damaged blast doors following testing and training events.

• Performs facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural repair, and range upkeep, and maintains mechanical equipment such as vehicles, forklifts, generators, and small-engine systems.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Security Clearance Required to Start.

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

• Experience in welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair.

• Background in reinforced concrete construction and quality control.

• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for blast doors.

• General automotive and equipment repair capability.

• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

• CPR and First Aid certification.

• Ability to work in confined underground environments.

• Ability to travel to various research, development, and training sites.
