Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and forward-thinking leader to guide the City's Facility Operations Section. As the Facility Operations Section Manager, you will shape the vision for facility operations and support across more than 13 diverse facilities-over 700,000 square feet of critical City infrastructure-ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance. You will lead a talented team of 11 maintenance professionals, advance data-driven decision-making, champion continuous improvement, and oversee all aspects of building maintenance; preventative and reactive maintenance, tenant request support, lifecycle replacements, emergency preparedness, building security support, asset management, budgeting, contracting, and regulatory compliance.
In this highly collaborative role, you'll work closely with our teams in the Finance & Asset Management Department, in addition to our City department partners, to align operations with City priorities and elevate the experience of staff and facility users. You will also drive strategic initiatives, optimize resources, strengthen workflows and systems (including Maximo and SharePoint), and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture built on teamwork, service excellence, and innovation.

Flexible/Hybrid Working:
A hybrid work schedule is available for this position after an orientation period working in the office after hire. Remote work for this position is subject to departments operational needs and will be discussed with candidates during the selection process. Full-time remote work is not an available option. Once hired, employees must reside in the State of Washington and within reasonable commuting distance to Bellevue City Hall.

Paydays - The City of Bellevue pays employees on the 8th and the 23rd of each month (24 pay periods per year).
Please note: The City of Bellevue does not participate in the Social Security Administration (SSA) program and employees do not earn social security credits. The mandatory DRS retirement pension plan provides the required social security replacement plan.
