Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a high awareness in keeping a safe work environment and in driving a safe work culture through daily communication with our associates and leads.  Safety must be a consistent message through education, correction, encouragement and recognition.
  • Monitor and adjust associate staffing levels and schedules to meet customer volume demands and seasonal volume fluctuations.
  • Partner with human resources to proactively meet these demands in hiring and training associates in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for the consistent application and support of all policies and procedures including attendance, progressive discipline, application of benefits, associate programs etc. Model behavior consistent with DC leadership role.
  • Supervise administrative hourly associates and operations leads including planning and evaluating performance, establishing performance requirements and personal development targets, monitoring performance and providing coaching for performance improvement and development.
  • Manage day-to-day operations through effective workload balancing with the goal of reducing fluctuations in the end of day between departments.  Accomplished through effective staffing, cross-training and the timely movement of resources.
  • Coaching and guiding associates to meet the required productivity goals within each department.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify root causes related to production problems and filter information through appropriate channels to facilitate effective problem solving. Make good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and good judgment. Contribute innovative and effective suggestions for improving work processes.  Model a positive approach and sense of urgency when dealing with problems. Challenge the status quo to acknowledge the need for change.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse to result in a better work environment, a safer work environment, and improved associate satisfaction. 
  • Monitor all training and schedules to create consistency in fairness to all newly hired associates
  • Comprehensive and demonstrated diversity equity & inclusion knowledge and understanding
  • Drive productivity throughout the warehouse by maintaining a visible presence on the floor of the distribution centers, reviewing labor management reports to identify performance issues, conducting audits per established schedule, and identify potential barriers to maximizing productivity, such as congestion, slotting issues and safety and proactively work to resolve issue(s).

Qualifications (the following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated):

  • 2-4 years related work experience with focus in Warehouse Lead or Management, Operations
  • Specialized knowledge of Warehouse Management System, Excel, and Word.  Report writer, finance, and accounting knowledge a plus.  Knowledge of Inventory Control processes.
  • Technical knowledge.  Excellent analytical and presentation skills.  Project coordination experience and accounting principles.  Communication (written and verbal) at all levels, planning and organizing skills, interpersonal skills.
  • High customer service orientation.

 

Pay rate:              Based upon experience level
