Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Reports to: Upper Management (General Manager and CFO)
Preferred Education: College
Experience Required:
- Excellent verbal and written skills required. Organization, documentation, and communication proficiency are expected.
- Associates degree preferred but equivalent experience can be substituted for education.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be practical and hands-on with tasks.
- Moderate to advanced experience with electric, HVAC, plumbing, and general construction issues.
- Basic understanding of OSHA Compliance.
Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for the management of company personnel, third party construction contractors, services and processes that support the core infrastructure of the company; excluding communication infrastructure.
Job Duties:
- Interface with senior management on projects to be completed, review project costs and secure approval for project start.
- Provide weekly project progress reports to Upper Management.
- Project management; supervising and coordinating work to be performed of employees and contractors. Ensuring company safety and financial processes are followed in that work.
- Planning for future infrastructure expansion in line with infrastructure resilience.
- Managing maintenance activities to ensure minimum disruption to core manufacturing business.
- Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling.
- Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities maintenance activities comply with State and Federal legislation.
- Keeping facilities maintenance staff and other company employees safe in the performance of work.
- Managing Facilities Maintenance staff and / or contractors and ensuring assigned tasks have been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies if necessary.
- Coordinating and leading one or more teams and ensuring logical order of operations is followed.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise. This may include reporting to facility outside normal working hours.
- Any others tasks or requests given by management.
