About the Role We are seeking a Facility Plant Engineer to support site-wide HVAC, utility, and energy systems. The engineer will be responsible for system optimization, troubleshooting, maintenance, infrastructure projects, commissioning, and continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization of HVAC, utilities, and energy systems.
Support design, specification, construction, startup, commissioning, validation, and handoff of new equipment and infrastructure.
Manage engineering projects by tracking scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, contractors, maintenance, and external engineering firms.
Support inspections, regulatory compliance, validated systems, engineering documentation, and as-built records.
Contribute to energy management, sustainability, infrastructure planning, and lifecycle cost optimization.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience with HVAC, facility utilities, and energy systems.
Hands-on knowledge of AHUs, dust collection, purified water, compressed air, nitrogen, chilled/hot water, steam, and municipal utilities.
Experience with system design, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Experience with project management, root cause analysis, and data-driven problem solving.
Strong understanding of compliance, inspections, engineering standards, and technical documentation.
Excellent communication and vendor coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience with energy efficiency, sustainability, and lifecycle cost optimization.
Experience coordinating external engineering firms and contractors.
