The Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) is responsible for implementing and managing Weber State Universitys industrial security programs, ensuring compliance with NISPOM and government regulations (DCSA/DOE) for protecting classified information. They manage personnel clearances (PCL), facility clearances (FCL), physical security, and security training, acting as the primary liaison between Weber State University and government agencies with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and its implementing document, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. The FSO serves as the principal advisor to management on all classified and sensitive information matters.
The CSSO portion of the role is responsible for all aspects of Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) management. They will manage personnel and physical security requirements in accordance with the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and ensure security integrity of all secure spaces.
