    Job Description Summary:

    As the Facility Security Officer you will be responsible for the administration of the government security program in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)). The Facility Security Officer will serve as the technical expert to provide a secure and compliant workplace for employees, contractors, visitors, and suppliers. In this role you will collaborate with the Industrial Security Operations team and leadership to develop and implement security processes and procedures to meet business needs across the organization.

    Roles and Responsibilities: In this role you will:


    -Participate, develop and/or lead organization security initiatives as directed by the Industrial Security Operations team and/or the Senior Management Official.

    -Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, business policy, and customer contractual requirements.

    -Investigate National Security program-specific incidents that impact cleared personnel, accredited facilities, and/or information systems.

    -Develop and maintain key external industry partnerships along with strong internal stakeholder relationships to garner best practices and influence emerging policy.

    -Serve as the primary point of contact for DCSA reviews and correspondence; establish a working relationship with DCSA and other government security personnel.

    -Proficiency in COMSEC account management and device accountability will be critical to success in this role. NSA inspection prep as well.

    -Prepare and participate in the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Security Review.

    Required Qualifications:


    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college OR associates degree with 4 years military experience OR high school diploma/GED with 8 years military experience

    Minimum of 5 years Industrial Security experience, preferably as a Facility Security Officer

    Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM Rule and able to apply it to a variety of situations in the business

    Hands-on experience developing and maintaining areas in accordance with ICD 705 standards

    Working knowledge of NISS, DISS, DIAS, and other government databases

    Demonstrated familiarity with Personnel Security, Information Assurance, and Communication Security (COMSEC)

    Must possess an active Top Secret clearance

    This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
