    Description

    Position SummaryAdams Thermal Systems is seeking a dependable Facility Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and overall operation of the facility and its supporting systems. This hands-on position is responsible for ensuring the building, utilities, and facility equipment remain safe, reliable, and operating efficiently to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with facility systems, and enjoys troubleshooting a wide variety of maintenance tasks. The role works closely with the Maintenance and Facilities teams to maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment. 
    Responsibilities
    • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
    • Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, doors, and other facility infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues affecting facility operations.
    • Perform routine inspections of facility equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
    • Assist with installation, relocation, and setup of equipment, machinery, and facility improvements.
    • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors to complete repairs and projects.
    • Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
    • Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely.
    • Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
    • Assist with snow removal, grounds maintenance, and other facility-related duties as needed.
    • Respond to maintenance emergencies and prioritize repairs to minimize disruptions to production.
    Qualifications
    • Previous experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, or building maintenance preferred.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting building and facility systems.
    • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
    • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, or technical drawings.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance documentation.
    • Valid driver's license preferred.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Welding or fabrication experience.
    • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
    • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
    • General knowledge of utility systems, including compressed air, HVAC, water, and electrical distribution.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
    • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Comfortable working around moving machinery, loud environments, and manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPE.
