We are seeking a Facility Technician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Assists, plans and coordinates the activities of engineering, environmental services and security personnel to accomplishment of required operations and maintenance activities. Ensure that those activities are performed and documented in accordance with appropriate Joint Commission standards and requirements, codes and legislation. Work under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of methods; materials, techniques related to the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities
· Knowledge of hospital related occupational hazards and proper safety procedures
· Knowledge of techniques and practices related to engineering/environmental operations, construction techniques and practices, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and applicable law codes, and JCAHO requirements
· Must possess professional attitude and be proficient in oral and written communication skills
· Knowledge of accepted clerical practices
· Mathematical and analytical skills required
· Computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
· Previous experience in hospital facilities management is preferred
- High school diploma or GED
