Factory Applications Specialist

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a FactoryApplications Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and evolving High Voltage production applications that support critical business operations.

In this dynamic position, you will serve as the primary owner of assigned applications, partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and external vendors to ensure applications remain secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with strategic business goals. From planning and implementation through optimization and retirement, you will help shape the future of digital solutions while supporting innovation and operational excellence. You will have the opportunity to influence application strategy, improve performance, manage risks, and contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives in a collaborative and global environment.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Manage applications throughout their full lifecycle, from planning and development to decommissioning.
• Oversee application delivery across development, testing, and production environments.
• Monitor daily operations and performance of application development activities.
• Partner with business and IT teams to gather, prioritize, and deliver requirements.
• Coordinate project plans, schedules, and deployment activities.
• Support analysts and application specialists to ensure effective and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with architects, testers, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure applications meet security, regulatory, legal, and IT control requirements.

Your Background

• 1-3 years of experience in application management, application support, or a related role.
• Experience with application development and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Power Apps and Power BI.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
