USD $16.50 Hourly
Shift Hours:
- Shift A 10hr shift-6am to 5pm. Monday through Thursday
- Shift B 10hr shift-6am to 5pm. Tuesday through Friday.
Note: New hires start out on A team.
The Production Technician Level 1 at PowerShades is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in the processing, assembly, testing, and packaging of motorized shading systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our products meet quality and performance standards. The technician will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing, Assembly and Manufacturing:
- Process materials and Assemble components for shading systems according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow work orders and production schedules to meet daily output goals.
Testing and Quality Control:
- Perform functional testing of finished products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Identify and report defects or discrepancies in materials or workmanship.
Packaging and Shipping Preparation:
- Package finished products securely for shipment.
- Label products accurately according to customer orders and specifications.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete production logs and quality assurance checklists accurately.
- Communicate any production issues or delays to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; manufacturing or assembly experience is a plus.
- Skills:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing floor environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required in designated areas.
