Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Dental Assisting Instructor to join the Dental Assisting Program. The ideal candidate will provide classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that prepares students for successful careers in dental assisting while supporting the College's mission of student success, workforce development, and community engagement.
The instructor will foster an inclusive learning environment, maintain current knowledge of dental assisting practices and technologies, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or be able to complete a Bachelor's degree within 3 years of employment.
- Dental Assisting National Board "Certified Dental Assistant" with at least three years clinical experience in the application of four-handed dentistry principles, as a dental assistant.
- Graduate of a CODA Accredited DA Program and CPR Certified.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Preferred teaching and clinical experience in a North Carolina Community college.
- Dental specialty experience highly recommended.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PowerPoint Development, Computer Skills, Eaglesoft experience, Clinical Competency in the Performance of DA II Skills as recognized by the NC State Board of Dental Examiners, Current CDA, Current CPR, and Teaching Methodology
