GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision, the instructor is responsible for fostering student learning in the Electronics Engineering Technology program. The instructor may be assigned to teach courses in other electronics programs in the Industrial Technologies department, or other related courses in other programs in the Industrial Technology department. Teaching responsibilities include both lecture and laboratory settings. Teaching assignments are predominantly in the daytime, but occasionally may occur in the evening. This position requires strong organizational skills, good communication skills, ability to effectively deliver practical hands-on instruction, team-teaching skills, curriculum development skills, and demonstrated experience working in or with the electronics manufacturing or engineering sector. The instructor must be accessible to students, serve on department and college committees, and maintain relationships with electronics organizations and businesses. Must be responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of an individual Professional Preparation Plan as outlined in the Colleges Quality Faculty Plan.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:
Position involves sitting and/or standing most of the time in a classroom setting. Occasional (10-33%) repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting up to 20 pounds. Frequent (34-66%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting and grasping. Constant (67-100%) talking, hearing and viewing various types of close work. May travel to other on-campus facilities, off-campus facilities and business to teach, attend meetings, etc.
