Position Title: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of English

Position Summary:
Warner University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time English faculty position in the Communication Arts Department for the fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities primarily include teaching Composition and developmental writing courses, though general literature courses may be taught as needed and as opportunities arise. Other responsibilities include student advising and serving on department, college, and university-wide committees. We seek candidates committed to teaching, serving, and supporting the universitys mission. The candidate chosen for this position will teach primarily in the traditional, in-person classroom setting at Warner University's campus in Lake Wales, but may also have opportunities to teach online courses.
In keeping with Warner University's accreditation with SACSCOC and the guidelines provided in the Principles of Accreditation, the university will require the following:
Candidates should hold a minimum of a master's degree (doctorate preferred) in English or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in teaching at the college level. The individual must have excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills. Familiarity with Moodle or a similar online learning platform is also desirable.

The successful candidate is expected to display a commitment to Christian education, especially as it addresses the relationship between faith and the study and use of the language in writing and other forms of communication. As such, preference will be given to candidates with some degree of theological education or experience in Christian education within an orthodox, evangelical context.
