Responsibilities

The School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) at North Park University seeks applications for a full-time exercise science (EXS) faculty member to begin Fall 2026.

The candidate will teach biomechanics, exercise physiology and health appraisal & fitness testing as well as other courses in exercise science or related fields, based on their qualifications, and needs of the school.

Instruct 24 credits per academic year (12 per semester)

Hold office hours and appropriately engage with students outside the classroom

Advise and mentor students

Implement a scholarly agenda

Collaborate effectively with other faculty and staff

Contribute to overall administration of EXS program including student recruitment, retention initiatives, programmatic assessment, curricular revision, course development, and internship supervision

Participate in service to the SNHS and wider institution

Demonstrate involvement in professional organizations and activities

Salary range for this position is $65,000 -$75,000
