Overview:
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time, face-to-face basis in mathematics courses. Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the following courses, with emphasis on relating mathematics instruction to technical programs: Pre Algebra, Elementary Algebra I & II, Career Mathematics, Structures of Mathematics, Topics in Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, and Technical Algebra and Trigonometry.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or directly related discipline. Required
- Master's Degree in Mathematics or directly related discipline. Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Coursework in or experience using technology in instruction. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Relevant secondary or college teaching experience. Required
- Background which applies mathematics to the trades. Preferred
- Experience with graphing calculators and/or computers in a mathematical instructional setting. Preferred

- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
- Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Required

Responsibilities:
- Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the following courses, with emphasis on relating mathematics instruction to technical programs: Pre Algebra, Elementary Algebra I & II, Career Mathematics, Structures of Mathematics, Topics in Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, and Technical Algebra and Trigonometry.
- Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
- Participate in School assessment process.
- Take attendance and maintain records of student attendance.
- Maintain office hours according to the standardized part time teaching agreement.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend department and School meetings as requested.

Pay Transparency:
The part-time rate for 2026/27 will be the greater of $1180 per credit or $787 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $49.17 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
