The College of Technical Sciences at Montana State University Northern MSUN invites applications for a 10-month academic-year faculty position in Diesel Technology Agricultural Mechanics Technology to begin August 1, 2026. This position may be filled as a tenure track Assistant Professor or a non-tenure track Lecturer I. Effective teaching is the primary mission of MSU-Northern.

Duties and Responsibilities ---------------------------
MSU-Northern is seeking a faculty member to become an active contributor to its world-class Diesel Technology Program. Applicants qualifying for either tenure track or non-tenure track are encouraged to apply. The faculty member in this position will teach approximately 24 credit hours of lecture-laboratory courses per academic year. Courses assigned will be in Diesel Technology and/or Agricultural Mechanics Technology and may include but are not limited to:
Academic and career advising will be a responsibility associated with this position. In addition, the successful candidate will be involved in curriculum development, program growth, and program assessment and will work with an external industry-specific advisory board. Academic responsibilities will also include serving on campus committees, engaging in campus activities, and serving as an ambassador for and collegiate member of the College of Technical Sciences.

Certificate, Associate, and Bachelor degrees in Business, Engineering, Technology, Transportation Technology, Agriculture, and the Trades are available. Programs in Workforce Development and Apprenticeship-Related Training are also offered. Technical programs are blended with liberal arts and general education, all on the same campus. Professors and professional staff are dedicated and understand education as well as industry needs. Multiple program minors, emphases, and options respond to current industry needs.
