This is an 11-month position.
LOCATION OF POSITION
The position will be based on the Frederick Campus; however, the applicant will serve as the Assistant Athletic Director for both the Frederick and Columbia Campuses and must be able to travel between both locations as needed.

Main Purpose of Job
The Assistant Athletic Director works in cooperation with the Athletic Director to support the Elementary, Middle School, and High School athletic programs at both the Frederick and Columbia campuses. This position collaborates with the Office of Student Affairs on the master schedule and is responsible for scheduling games, coordinating officials, organizing tournaments, supervising coaches, supporting Special Olympics programs, and assisting with the preparation of athletic facilities and equipment. The Assistant Athletic Director also serves as a building manager during events, ensuring facilities and grounds are prepared before games and properly cleaned after events. The position includes attending league meetings, coordinating coach training, supporting summer sports camps, and being available to coach as needed. Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelorâs Degree required
Skills and Knowledge:
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Willingness to work toward a Masterâs Degree or Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) credential.
Background in Sports Management or a related field preferred.
Ability to obtain Crowd Manager Certification.
Ability to learn emergency medical procedures.
Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
Strong written English skills to communicate effectively with students and families who are not proficient in ASL.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator''s license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
