Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-leading faculty position in the division of Anatomic Pathology with board certification eligibility in Cytopathology. The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills in cytopathology and will have the opportunity to participate in rapid on-site evaluation as well as ultrasound-guided superficial fine needle aspiration procedures. Coverage of another subspecialty is an option. Educational opportunities include teaching within the medical school and within an ACGME-accredited APCP residency program. Opportunities for developing research projects are available. Candidates interested in developing a funded research program are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D.Ph.D. or equivalent degree and they should be certified or eligible for certification in AP or APCP by the American Board of Pathology. Fellowship training in cytopathology is preferred.
