This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified OBGYN to join a well-established OBGYN Department. The OBGYN department is home to an academic obstetrics and gynecology residency program with a total of 40 OBGYN residents as well as subspecialty fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine urogynecology reproductive endocrinology and infertility medical genetics gynecologic oncology minimally invasive surgery infectious diseases and family planning. Magee-Womens Research Institute MWRI is an independent research Institute and one of the largest in the nation that focuses on reproductive biology and womens and infants health. Since its inception in 1992 MWRI has been a leader in funding from the National Institute of Health NIH and other sources. Opportunities are available to work with members of MWRI on specific research projects. Time to pursue individual research is available. Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC is the regional referral center for obstetric and gynecologic patients performing approximately 11000deliveries per year with an active inpatient and outpatient program. UPMC is a nationally ranked medical center that serves as the regional referral center for multiple specialties.
