JOB TITLE: Assistant/Associate Professor of Counseling
DEPARTMENT: Behavioral and Social Sciences
CLASSIFICATION: Fully remote teaching online courses, full-time salaried position based on 11month contract.
SUMMARY: The Assistant Professor of Counseling is responsible for teaching core and specialty coursework in either school counseling or clinical mental health counseling tracks.
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision (conferred no later than one year from hire due to accreditation standards), along with relevant certification and license to practice in school counseling and/or clinical mental health counseling.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include teaching online courses with required weekly synchronous classes in the graduate counseling program. The typical teaching load will consist of 24 graduate credit hours (approximately 8 courses, equivalent to 32 faculty load hours) over an 11-month period.
