ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Faculty Support Coordinator II will serve and support the Dean, Associate Dean, and the Online Chairs, serves as a representative of the AD, and is empowered to speak to issues as deemed necessary by the Dean and AD. Receives, manages, and enforces imperatives of the Dean, AD, and other academic leadership. Receives and reviews recommended teaching assignments from Chair(s) and submits proposed course assignments to the Associate Dean (AD) and then ultimately assigns courses using the Faculty Assignment Tool (FAT). Supports department by responding to questions related to departmental and university policies and procedures, technical issues, overload compensation, teaching load, future scheduling of courses, etc. Collects and reviews assessments and course evaluations. Creates and supervises professional development and training for online adjuncts. Serves as a liaison between the AD, Chair(s), and SMEs. Assist with new hire processes. Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission. Other responsibilities as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The position may be called upon to supervise the tasks of GSAs or student workers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
• Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
• At least five years of administrative experience; five years of experience as an FSC
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Canvas
• Institutional knowledge of Liberty University and its systems
• Experience in managing multiple tasks and projects
ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate. Working environment also includes the facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

Pay Range
Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
$44,000.00 - $50,000.00
