Quality Systems and FA Intern

Job Summary:

• Support the quality engineering team in conducting failure investigations and implementing corrective actions for customer-related issues, while documenting and maintaining analysis data, and facilitating interactions regarding customer quality and reliability through comprehensive analysis FA (8D) reports.
• Aid in planning and processing customer returns, as well as scheduling and executing the analysis from beginning to end.
• Collaborate with the quality engineer, circuit design, process, and product/test engineers across the business unit to perform DC electrical testing, circuit analysis/troubleshooting, fault isolation, and micro-probing, among other tasks as needed. Create and document detailed step-by-step tests required for each product family.
• Partner with the quality engineer and Application team to test customer returns based on bench analysis.
• Assist the quality engineer in recognizing and initiating actions that will lead to the continuous enhancement of the Quality System, products, and processes.

Education/Experience:

• College student working toward a B.S or M.S. in EE, Computer Science, or a related field.

Specific Requirements:

• Understanding of semiconductor fabrication, inspection, assembly, and test methods. Knowledge of semiconductor processing and analysis equipment is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and good written and verbal communications skills are essential.
• Self-motivated, hard-working, fast learner and well-organized
• Highly responsible, a good team player with good presentation skills
• Proficiency with common office computer software programs such as MS-Office.

During the 12 weeks each Intern will:

• Be given an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals
• Gain hands on experience
• Receive excellent training and ongoing supervision
• Be invited to attend an intern webinar series
• Attend networking/social events
• Attend and present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls
• Receive formal, written feedback

The Hourly Range for this position is $20 - $47 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
