Fairchild Media Group: Social Media Editor
Fairchild Media Group is looking for a sharp, creative Social Media Editor to help power the daily social presence of our iconic brands—WWD, Footwear News, Beauty Inc, and Sourcing Journal — with a primary focus on WWD.
This role sits at the intersection of journalism, visual storytelling, and real-time culture. You'll play a key role in translating breaking news, original reporting, and standout visuals into engaging, platform-native content that resonates across social. Working closely with the Social Media Director, you'll help drive daily publishing, shape and package content, and ensure timely, engaging content that reflect each brand's distinct voice.
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role ideal for someone with strong editorial instincts, excellent writing skills, and a deep understanding of how social platforms actually work.
FMG values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

What This Role Looks Like
This is a hands-on execution role focused on bringing social strategy to life across Fairchild Media Group's brands. You'll work closely with the Social Media Director, take real ownership of daily publishing, and build toward greater responsibility over time — especially in shaping how WWD shows up on social.
A good faith estimate of the salary range is $67,000 - $75,000 upon hire. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
