A leading investment bank or advisory firm may seek a Fairness Opinions Analyst to support independent fairness opinions, valuation analyses, and transaction advisory services. These roles are ideal for candidates interested in rigorous financial analysis, M&A exposure, and working closely with senior bankers on key client deliverables.
Prepare fairness opinions for M&A transactions, recapitalizations, and other corporate finance events.
Conduct comprehensive valuations using DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, LBO, and other methodologies.
Build and maintain financial models to support opinion conclusions.
Conduct industry and company research, benchmarking, and scenario analysis.
Draft investment memoranda, pitch books, and client presentations that communicate fairness conclusions.
Assist with due diligence, data room review, and transaction support.
Collaborate with senior bankers, legal advisors, and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of opinions.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior internship or full-time experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance is beneficial.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms.
