Job Title: Medical Director, School-Based Health Centers

Reports to: Division Chief, Adolescent Medicine
Primary Purpose:
The organization is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of young individuals by offering essential services that are high-quality, comprehensive, integrated, and confidential, all at no cost. We aim to advance adolescent and young adult health as a national priority, serving as a premier center for clinical care, specialized training, innovative research, and advocacy.
The Medical Director for the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) will oversee the program's operations and collaborate closely with the Deputy Medical Directors to ensure that medical services align with our mission, strategic goals, and operational framework.
This role involves directing the activities of both medical and mental health staff, ensuring that services comply with our policies, New York State regulations, funder guidelines, and established best practices in adolescent medicine. Together with the Deputy Medical Directors, the SBHC Medical Director will establish, approve, and implement policies governing medical services within the School-Based Health Centers.

In partnership with the Deputy Medical Directors, ensure the effective and efficient operation of the SBHCs, fostering an integrated interdisciplinary service model. Promote a patient-centered culture where students receive competent, compassionate care, and staff feel valued, respected, and empowered to excel in their roles.
Supervision, Evaluation, and Collaboration
Qualifications:
Compensation ranges from $175,000 to $190,000 (excluding bonuses or incentive compensation and benefits).
