Family Advocate - Head Start Program (11-month position)Location: Easter Seals, Selma-Dallas CountyOrganization: Black Belt Community Foundation Head StartAre you passionate about supporting families and empowering communities? Join our Head Start team as a Family Advocate, where you'll play a key role in enrolling children, building strong family partnerships, and connecting families to vital resources.Key Responsibilities:Recruit and enroll eligible children and families into the Head Start program.Support families in setting and achieving personal goals through Family Partnership Agreements.Facilitate home visits, parent meetings, and community engagement activities.Assist families in accessing education, health, and social services.Maintain accurate family and child records in compliance with program standards.Qualifications:FDC and/or Associates/Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or a related field.Strong communication, organizational, and community outreach skills.Commitment to family-centered, culturally responsive practices.Basic computer literacy in email, word processing and internet navigation.Able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, 20 times a day if needed.Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid. Apply today and be part of a mission-driven team creating lasting impact!
