Provides comprehensive case management services that will support families to foster their child's development and attain their personal goals.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
May include the following:
1. Working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Parent, Family and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework and other regulations (Child Care Licensing, Caring for Children, etc.)
2. Develop and maintain positive, open and productive team partnerships with families, community partners and staff while maintaining professional boundaries.
3. Relying upon the families strengths, work with the family to assess needs and assure that all interventions promote family empowerment, self-sufficiency and self-advocacy.
4. In partnership with families, develop family goals and the appropriate strategies to achieve these goals.
5. Promote parent education based on the needs of the family and the Family Needs Assessment results.
6. Refer families to community resources as necessary and appropriate and provide follow up.
7. Provides transportation to resources and appointments as needed.
8. Work with Head Start Management Team and center staff to ensure agency policies and procedures are completed.
9. Report all suspected child abuse to the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400 and adhere to agency policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: - Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Substance Abuse, Sociology or Human Sciences
- Three years’ delivering comprehensive case management services
Required: - Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Human Sciences with the completion of a Family Services Credential with 18 months of hire
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in any field with the completion of a Family Services Credential within 18 months of hire
- One-year delivering comprehensive case management services
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English
Physical Requirements: - Be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
Other Requirements: - At least 21 years old
- Criminal Background Check required for all Head Start staff at the agency’s expense prior to hire
- Fingerprinting required for all Head Start staff at the employee’s expense prior to hire
- Valid Texas Driver’s License Class C and access to reliable transportation
- Vehicle Insurance (Personal Injury and Liability)
- Initial Health Exam required for all Head Start staff at the agency’s expense after hire
- Initial and annual TB screening required for all Head Start staff at the agency’s expense after hire
