Job Summary

Location: Washington Elementary STEM Magnet Hours/Day: 8 hours/day Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 9 months/year Under the direction of the Program Coordinator (Healthy Start), the Health Programs Coordinator, and the Site Administrator, the Family Advocate-Healthy Start will provide assistance to the Healthy Start Case Manager and Program Coordinator as a key conduit of relationship and communication between parents and Healthy Start Family Center staff. The Family Advocate will provide assistance to students and their families in overcoming barriers to personal and academic success through development and implementation of Healthy Start family plans. Special training will be provided by Health Programs and the Healthy Start Coordinator.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Completion of a secondary (i.e., high school) school diploma, or its equivalent (GED) is required. Experience: Equivalent to one (1) year of full-time experience working with school age children.
