Looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident managing cases from start to finish, capable of working independently, and comfortable handling a diverse family law caseload.
This position requires someone who can take ownership of their cases, provide strategic legal guidance, and deliver excellent client service throughout all stages of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of family law matters from intake through resolution
- Handle cases including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and related matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Ensure deadlines and court requirements are met without supervision
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in [State]
- 3+ years of family law experience preferred
- Proven ability to handle a case from start to finish independently
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and courtroom skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
- Trial experience in family law matters
- Experience with high-conflict custody cases
- Familiarity with case management software
- Strong client relationship and problem-solving skills
