Salary: $125,000 - $170,000 per year
A bit about us:A Dallas boutique family law firm built around complex, high-stakes divorce and custody matters — not volume, not templated filings. Small enough that associates get real case ownership early; established enough that the matters involve serious financial complexity, contested custody, and courtroom time that most firms won't hand a 2-7 year associate.
Why join us?- Case ownership that scales with you — not years of doc review before you're trusted with a client
- Real exposure to complex property division, business valuations, and high-conflict custody litigation, not just routine dockets
- A defined growth path from task-based work toward independent strategy, client counseling, and trial responsibility
- Full benefits (health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, CLE support) plus a firm actually invested in developing you into a strategic advocate, not just billing you out
Job DetailsYou'll handle a broad range of family law matters — divorce, custody, support, adoption, and other contested cases — with growing autonomy as you prove out. Expect legal research and writing, drafting pleadings/motions/discovery, direct client communication, and increasing involvement in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. You'll also build real financial literacy: property spreadsheets, inventories and appraisals, tracing, and valuation issues on complex marital estates.
Must-haves: JD from an accredited law school;
- Active Texas bar license in good standing; 2-7 years of Texas family law experience specifically (not general litigation)
- Strong legal research/writing
- Demonstrated courtroom, deposition, or mediation exposure.
