Description
Description
Miami Family Law Group is looking for a Family Law Attorney to take ownership of a full family law practice, divorce, custody, complex asset division, and related disputes, from initial strategy through resolution. This role is built for a Florida litigator who wants real decision making authority, not a supervised caseload.
You will manage your own docket with paralegal and administrative support handling scheduling and document logistics, so your time stays focused on strategy, client counsel, and courtroom work. Attorneys are available for input when you want it, not oversight when you don't need it.
What You'll Own
Client relationships from intake through settlement or trial
Case strategy, negotiation, and courtroom representation
Drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and taking depositions
What You'll Get
Genuine autonomy: you make the strategic calls and own the outcomes
Access to experienced partners for input, not approval
Paralegal and admin support handling scheduling, filing, and document management
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of family law matters from start to finish
Advise clients on strategy, risk, and next steps
Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery
Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings
Prepare for and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
Work closely with paralegals and support staff to keep matters progressing
Maintain strong client communication and high service standards
Identify legal and procedural issues early and drive cases toward resolution
Requirements
Required:
Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
5+ years of family law experience
Substantive trial experience in family law, including first chair trial work, evidentiary hearings, contested custody and asset division trials, and motion practice
Experience negotiating with opposing counsel and appearing before judges in court proceedings
Ability to independently manage a full family law caseload
Experience managing high conflict client relationships
Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills
Strong organization, follow through, and professional judgment
Preferred:
Experience with mediation and settlement negotiations in family law matters
Experience mentoring junior attorneys or legal staff
Benefits
Competitive salary of 120000-175000 USD/year
Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement
