A growing boutique family law firm based in Northbrook, Illinois is seeking a Family Law Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to join its expanding practice. This is an opportunity to work closely with an experienced family law attorney in a collaborative, client-focused environment that emphasizes high-quality representation, courtroom advocacy, and personalized service.

The firm handles a broad range of family law matters including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, maintenance, post-decree disputes, and complex custody matters. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing litigation responsibilities, appearing in court, and communicating directly with clients.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Handle family law matters from inception through resolution
  • Attend court appearances in Cook and Lake County
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and hearings
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
  • Assist with litigation strategy and case management
  • Work collaboratively with the firm’s attorney and support staff

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Illinois family law litigation experience
  • Strong courtroom and advocacy skills
  • Experience handling contested family law matters
  • Ability to work independently while remaining team-oriented
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
